Yeshua, he focused on the Father continually. The material world, its wealth and pleasures faded into obscurity. Two circles of focus were illustrated by Jesus and he let it be known that one would be hated and one loved. Jesus loved the sphere of the Father and abided in it completely to the exclusion of the other in his heart. The Fathers presence and love was continually known to him.
The enemy focused in the beginning on the surroundings of God and desired such. He proclaimed that he would be as God and inhabit his place; the high place. Diminished into obscurity was God his creator; all presence of him and love gone.
Focus on Jesus increases our love because of his love towards us eternally. Focus on mammon diminishes our view of the Father and the knowledge of his presence and love. The temple of God in our hearts can only be filled with one or the other. The reward is a dwelling in one place to the exclusion of the other. What person seeking only the world’s power and wealth regards godly love; the laying down of one’s life for his friends? What person who seeks only godly love will not lay down his life for his friend; forsaking the world and its lust?
The focus with love is full of color and the focus with hate is black and white. The telescope of perception can focus on one only. The Spirit of Grace and Truth works in us to will and to do according to his will. The believer is a new creation guided to focus on Jesus Christ.
Anyone who abides the Good Sheppard and loves one another will know his joy; with eternal life. The alternative will know deception followed by death.
