Point to Him
Know the Savior Jesus Christ as a reflection in water then in person

Sovereign Radiance

In the beginning, the Lord God, Elohim said, “Let there be light”; a command, a state of being; a declaration of his heart and Spirit.  These are Spirit words full of life, purity, and vision.  What does it look like? We know in part, but see with eyes of understanding more and more in the face of the Son of God.

He is:

  • before creation revealed from age to age, and generation to generation.
  • our anchor of hope, even in the darkest hour.  He pours out his justice in love and truth; the light and the path.
  • the Word eternal, present before and behind us.
  • our covering, our dwelling place, our hope.
  • the Way to the Father of Lights, in whom there is no darkness or shadow of turning.

He was with Adam in the Garden of Eden before and after the great transgression that leads to death.  Yet, in that hour our Redeemer Lives, crushing the enemy.  God would crush the head of the enemy.  The enemy would bruise the heel.

He was with Noah; mercy in promise of salvation through the flood of judgment upon the Earth, in the dwelling of the ark of safety.  He precedes Noah before the offering that Noah makes.  He is light in the blessing to Noah. Light is in the sign of His Kingdom; the covenant sign; the rainbow in the cloud!

He was with Abraham, Light, providing a sacrifice, the ram, in the offering of his son.

He was light to the Ninevites in the warning of judgment upon them.  Jonah came to them from the belly of a great fish that had taken him to the deepest depth at the mooring of mountains beneath the sea.  He was light to Jonah when Jonah prays and declares he is banished from sight, but will yet again “look toward your (God’s) holy Temple”.  The Ninevites believed the warning, repented to God and lived.

Job saw in his suffering, saying, “… after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God!

The Light is revealed at the cross of our Savior in his words, “It is finished!”, and further, in his resurrection.   Light because he conquered Death and Hades, bringing resurrection to the dead.

To those who believe on Jesus (Yeshua, Messiah) accepting him, he gives the right to become children of God; children of light.

There is a day when the light of the sun will not be needed.  There will be no night.  God will be the light upon them.  The will live forever, God with them.

Genesis 1:1 – 5 World English Bible
1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and God’s Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

3 God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day”, and the darkness he called “night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.
